Our words carry so much weight. We can build people up and tear people down with what we say... We have all heard that old line "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." I understand the thinking behind this old saying, teaching kids not to worry about what other people say or think about them, but it simply isn't accurate. I think it is important to take responsibility for the words that we say and what we are putting out there. Someone encouraged me this week when I really needed it and it honestly gave me the boost that I needed. Those words were powerful. I heard someone say something really unkind about themselves and I could see that those words had so much power over them. When you say things over and over you are always going to start to align your thinking with what you say. So think about the words you are saying to yourself, about yourself, about other people, about your life. If you are constantly saying "I'm sick and tired of...." don't be surprised if you start to feel sick and tired. Create LIFE with your words. Encourage, build and empower those around you. Be kind to your self, love with your words. This has been my thought this week.
I wanted to give you all the recipe for the superfood bar from the November box becuase it has been super popular and it is an amazing 'midday' brain booster. We all are in a better mood when we are not hungry so this should help with controlling your words.

The SUPERFOOD bar - Makes 8 - 10
You will need:
1 Cup Walnuts
1 Cup Pistachios
1 Cup of Dates
1/2 cup Sultanas
4 tbsp Chia Seeds
2 tbsp Hemp Seeds
2 tbsp Flax Seeds
1/2 Cup Desiccated Coconut
2 tbsp Coconut oil
2 tbsp Rice Malt Syrup
Place the Rice malt Syrup and the coconut oil in a sauce pan and place it over the heat until it melts, this should happen really quickly. The depending on how strong your blender or food processor is, throw the dates, sultanas, nuts and coconut in and blend them all up together. If your mixer isn't very strong start with the nuts and coconut, then put that aside in a bowl and blend up the dates and sultanas separately, then mix together in a bowl. Take half of the chia seeds and mix them with 2/3 Cup warm water. Then put the rest of the seeds in the bowl, with the melted coconut oil and syrup and mix everything together. I tend to leave the seeds whole as they look nicer in the bars this way.

Once you have mixed it all together your mixture should look like the mixture above... it doesn't form a ball. After about 10 minutes the chia seeds should be fully sprouted and you can stir them in... this works as a wonderful binder. Then take your dish and line it with greaseproof paper and pour the mixture in. Use the back of a spoon to compress it all together and get everything sticking together.

Then stick it in the freezer for an hour or so, then cut it into bars and store in the fridge. The ingredients of this bat are all great sources of plant based proteins, omega threes, healthy fats, complex carbohydrates and minerals meaning that you are energised so you can take on your day! Super filling, super yummy, super easy, super food!
Hope you enjoy these bars and they help you live your week to your full potential, a lot of these ingredients can be found in health food stores and online, and they can be used in lots of delicious recipes as well as being really healthy for you! So I hope this week is full of opportunities, joy and love. Create life with your words and watch your world grow!
Happy Monday xxx
